Cardio Cerebrovascular disease is a disease of the blood vessels in the brain, particularly the arteries of the brain. These arteries deliver blood that supplies essential nutrients and oxygen to the brain tissue. Cerebrovascular disease occurs over time due to the blood vessels in the brain being susceptible to damage caused by hypertension, intermittent high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, inherited vascular disease, and smoking.
